Training info

​

The club has four lanes available on each night and members book in to each session to pay and reserve a space. â€‹â€‹

​

​Each lane is designed around the fastest time it would take a swimmer to swim 50m (2 lengths) of freestyle from the wall as follows:

​

  • The fastest lane will be swimming a session based on this being 29 - 31 seconds.

  • The second lane will be swimming a set based on 33 seconds.

  • The third lane will be swimming a set based on 37 seconds.

  • The fourth lane will be swimming a set based on 41 seconds.​

 

Sessions cover all four strokes and range from distance to sprint sessions depending on where in the year the competition cycle is.   Whilst we do have a number of swimmers who regularly compete, we have a significant number of swimmers who swim to keep fit.

  • No kit needed - we provide pull buoys and kickboards

  • Bring a water bottle

  • Ask at reception for a band to use lockers/access the changing rooms

  • No requirement to be a member of Exeter Leisure to join us

  • Meet poolside, far side by windows
